At Bare Essentials, we are completely dedicated to your total satisfaction.
We do not advertise a low price, and then add an extortionate delivery price!
We do not ask you to create an account with us, involving yet another password you have to try and remember, before you buy, and then bombard you with un-wanted emails marketing our offers.
We do not ask you to create a paypal account before you can pay us, your credit card details are secure, and encrypted at all times using SSL 128 bit encryption (see the golden padlock in the bottom right hand corner
at the checkout stage of the purchase)
We do not hide behind a faceless email address, we have premises from which we trade on a day to day basis and you can talk to us there at any time.
We are located in the UK, which is more than can be said for some of our competitors.

Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept credit and debit card payments. If you are shopping from Europe or North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to Euros, US Dollars or your own currency.
Unlike many internet sites, we are happy to deliver to a different address than the invoice address. However we can only do this, if a fixed land line number is given for the invoice address. This is a security measure and in the best interests of our customers.
We accept Visa Mastercard and some solo cards. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you order multiple items, some of which are in stock, and some of which are out of stock, we will send you the items that are in stock immediately, and only debit your payment method with the amount of stock dispatched. The balance of your order will be sent, and your payment method debited when the outstanding items arrive in stock and are ready for dispatch.
We are able to dispatch orders to addresses that differ from an invoice address, however in these instances we require a land line telephone number to be supplied for the invoice address
You may send your credit card information via phone, , snail mail or over the Internet.
Shipping And Handling
All orders will be shipped free of charge by Royal mail 2nd Class post, unless you require next day or 1st class delivery within the UK .
Should you require next working day delivery, please contact the shop on 01691 680680 to check stock availability. For this option, two options are available via the Royal Mail:
For guaranteed delivery by 1300 hrs the next working day, this would be an extra £8.00. Should the delivery be required on a Saturday by 1300 the Royal Mail have now introduced a £2 surcharge for anything sent of a Friday, bringing the cost to £10.
For guaranteed delivery by 0900 hrs this would be an extra £12.00. (This is not an inflated price, it is, within a couple of pence, the cost price of this Royal Mail service)
Should you require 1st class delivery, as an alternative to our 2nd class standard delivery, this is available at a charge of £1.00 per item ordered.
Please indicate if you require 1st class post by making a note in the special delivery instructions section at the checkout stage.
Please note that unfortunately the Royal Mail only offer guaranteed delivery to United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland) delivery addresses, and as such we can not offer this next day facility to addresses outside the UK.
Please also note that should any order be placed from outside the UK, we will honour our commitment of free delivery worldwide. This delivery is however by normal surface mail, as we are not able to offer "first class delivery or next day delivery abroad". Should you be placing an order from abroad, and would like another method od delivery, ie Air Mail, please indicate this at the checkout stage. We will add the relevant delivery charge, promising that only the true cost of this delivery will be added, not an inflated price. This is a service level commitment.

Delivery Schedule
All items will be dispatched within 10 working days. We commit to this length of delivery time to ensure that if an item is ordered and is not in stock, we can obtain it for you. If the item is in stock, then we will dispatch it to you just as soon as we can process your order, which is normally the same working day.
Should you need an item for a function, or a specific reason, please call us on 01691 680680 to check availablity. We are a UK based business (unlike many of our competitors), and will not hide behind an email address or one of the unidentifiable 0870 or 0845 numbers. Call us if you need us.
Unfortunately sometimes things get lost in the post. In this event we are happy, after a reasonable period, to send a further item. The dispatch of all of our items are recorded by the Post Office, and as such, in the event of an item going astray, lost items may involve Royal Mail contacting you to verify that the item has not arrived. Any refund will be provided upon the successful outcome of the Royal Mail investigation.
International orders are generally received in under 15 days.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is included. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero .
Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted when the order is placed using full 128 bit SSL encryption. This can be seen by the "golden padlock" which appears at the transation stage. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Guarantee
We guarantee your satisfaction. You have the right to a refund if the goods are faulty or if you wish to cancel the order within 7 days of receipt providing you can return the goods unopened in their original packaging.
Where we have a return of faulty goods or a cancelled order we will process a refund within 30 days.
We can only accept returns in their original packaging with proof of purchase.

Returns Policy
Our returns policy is governed by "The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000" which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm. Please note however that for hygiene reasons no return can be accepted on Briefs or similar items.
If you are dissatisfied with the sale goods you have ordered, we can offer an exchange but we cannot offer a refund on sale items.
